All our 8-person boats are powered by electricity for the least possible impact on the environment. As an extra bonus that also means that the noise from the engine will be at a minimum. The boats are all equipped with a steering wheel, and a spacious table in the middle where you can enjoy your food and drinks. Kick back and relax while you explore the harbour and canals of Copenhagen from the soft, comfy seats.
The maximum speed of the boat is 3 knots, in kilometres that equal 5.5 km/h, which is also the maximum speed allowed in the canals. It gives you time to enjoy the charming surroundings.
You don’t need a license or any previous experience to sail our boats, the driver just needs to be at least 18 years old and remain sober during the trip. We will give you all the necessary instructions before you sail on your adventure.
The starting and ending point is our boathouse located at Trangravsvej 1 in Christianshavn.

Due to safety and insurance reasons no more than 8 people are allowed in one boat – no matter age or size.
Of course, four-legged friends are also very welcome. Just be aware that it is at your own risk, and that we do not have life vests for dogs.
Our mission is to give everyone the opportunity to experience the feeling of freedom you get by sailing. For our 8-person boats, you will be your own captain and will be exploring in your own boat. However for our larger boats for either up to 12 & 25 people, these boats are always sailed by an experienced captain from FriendShips.
Yes, and you get a full refund as long as you do it no later than 24 hours before your booking starts. Just send an email including your name, booking date and booking ID to cancellation@friendships.dk.
For the larger boats (12 or 25 people) with captains, the procedure is the same, however, for these boats you need to cancel 5 days before your departure, to get a full refund.
Please note that if you have booked more than three boats, you need to cancel 5 days in advance to get a refund.

Yes, absolutely. Feel free to bring along refreshments and if you need something extra we sell water, wine and beer at the boathouse.
No, you are not allowed to swim from the boat. Please also note that according to harbour rules, you are only allowed to swim in the marked areas.
Unfortunately, we don’t have parking at our boathouse. We recommend you to try Bodenhoffs Plads or at the Opera House, where people often have luck in finding a spot.
